Odyssey of the Mind competition this weekend

Cohoes Middle School is proud to announce that on Saturday, March 1, the school will enter its first team ever in an Odyssey of the Minds competition.

The competition, which will be held at Mohonasen High School, is a creative problem-solving competition that emphasizes teamwork.

The students will have eight minutes to present a skit called "The Eccentrics!" that they have been working on, as well as a some spontaneous activities that they are asked to do. In The Eccentrics, the team has created and will present a humorous performance about three eccentric characters that demonstrate odd behavior, peculiar mannerisms and unconventional dress.

The Cohoes students that are participating are: seventh graders Paige Genito, Vanessa Reamer and Alysha Gagnon, sixth grader Logan Atchinson and fifth grader Patricia Gagnon.
