Cohoes Mayor awards students for teamwork

Cohoes Mayor John T. McDonald III presented the Team Work Awards to Cohoes students at the Cohoes High Basketball Game on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. at the Cohoes High School Gym. The award, courtesy of the Cohoes Mayoral Foundation, is presented to nominated students of the various high school sports programs who best represent good sportsmanship. The award is also supported by the Cohoes Character Counts Committee.

Mayor McDonald also presented a special award to senior basketball player Courtney Galuski, who made national headlines last month when she sank 15 three-pointers during a game against Schalmont on Jan. 8.
