Learning to bank young and bank
smart
On April 8, 2008, a representative from Capital
Communications Federal Credit Union, Carrie Tonner, visited the
students at Page Avenue School. She introduced the students to
"Bank Young. Bank Smart. (Age 13 – 18)!"
Ms. Tonner advised the students to begin
thinking about their financial future. She discussed savings
accounts, checking accounts, debit cards and budgets. She also
explained to them the difference between a bank and credit
union. The students were interested to learn how they can make
their savings grow.
All of the students were invited to open a
savings account with Capital Communications Credit Union when
they open their new branch in Cohoes. |
