Students, staff give special send-off to longtime teacher
On May 10, eighth grade students and CMS staff surprised Spanish teacher Mr. Constantino by lining the school's stairwell and hallways and giving him a special salute on his last day at Cohoes Middle School. Mr. C, as he is known at CMS, will be resuming a career in Human Resources training after 13 years as a teacher. Watch as CMS says thanks and good luck to Mr. C >>
Cohoes Middle School to host fifth grade transition events
Cohoes Middle School will host several orientation events to help fifth graders and their families prepare for the transition to middle school. Orientation begins with the annual CMS Mixer on Saturday, May 11, which starts at 10:30 a.m. (please note the time is a CHANGE from the district calendar sent home at the beginning of the year.) Cohoes Middle School’s Dan Martinelli named “Principal of the Year”
Dan Martinelli, principal of Cohoes Middle School, has been named the 2013 Greater Capital Region Principals' Center “Principal of the Year.” The award, presented annually to a Capital Region administrator who has demonstrated excellence as a building leader, was announced last week and will be presented to Principal Martinelli at a dinner on April 16 in Albany. more>>
